Beijing Top Result and China Red Cross Jointly Launched an In-Mall First Aid Kiosk Programme Hong Kong, December 9, 2001 - China's leading outdoor advertising company MediaNation Inc. today announces that its joint-venture subsidiary Beijing Top Result Public Transportation Advertising Co., Ltd. ("Beijing Top Result") has entered into an agreement with China Red Cross and China General Chamber of Commerce for the launch of a nationwide In-Mall First Aid Kiosk Programme. The programme, inaugurated in Beijing on November 28, 2001, includes a kiosk with pharmaceutical supplies and first aid training for shopping mall staff provided by China Red Cross. This programme will be rolled out in major department stores, supermarkets, superstores, hypermarkets, specialty stores and shopping malls in all provincial cities and municipalities. The first phase of the programme has been established in 28 locations in Beijing, with more points scheduled for Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shenyang next year. The mid-term plan is to set up 3,000 to 5,000 kiosks across the country and the joint operation has already signed up with more than 500 shopping locations. Ms Summerine Chan, Director, MediaNation and President, Beijing Top Result, explained, "The kiosks are innovatively designed with a proprietary penta-flipping technology which provides more advertising space than a standard lightbox and is more attention catching. This will allow us to dedicate spaces for charity purposes, and to accept commercial advertisements as revenue at the same time. "As a leading player in outdoor advertising in China, we are constantly seeking new opportunities and to introduce new media formats and products. The First Aid Kiosk programme, as well as the planned introduction of a media network of new-generation newspaper kiosks in Shanghai in the near future, are all part of this media development initiative." MediaNation's new line of street furniture business was developed in line with China's urban construction, with the objective of advancing the outdoor media industry and contributing to the new metropolitan look of China. The In-Mall First Aid Kiosk programme is a proprietary concept and is highly functional. MediaNation Inc. was founded in 1991 in Hong Kong.
