![]() ARTEL SOLUTIONS GROUP HOLDINGS LIMITED Artel Wins Slot in Hang Seng Composite Index (February 18, 2002 - Hong Kong) - Artel Solutions Group Holdings Limited (SEHK: 931) will be among 10 stocks to be added to the Hang Seng Composite Index (HKCI) from March 1, 2002. It is a tremendous achievement by ARTEL, which got listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 24, 2001. Hang Seng Index Services Limited announced on February 7, 2002 that certain changes would be made to the constituent stocks of the Hang Seng Composite Index Series after the first half-yearly review of the Series since its launch in October 2001. The changes will take effect on March 1, 2002. The Hang Seng Composite Index Series is aimed at providing a comprehensive benchmark of the performance of the Hong Kong stock market. Comprising the top 200 listed companies in terms of market capitalization, the Hang Seng Composite Index Series aims to cover 95 per cent of the market capitalization of stocks listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In accordance with the rules for selecting constituents for the Hang Seng Composite Index, 10 stocks will be removed from the Index and will be replaced by 10 new constituents, leaving the total number of constituents unchanged at 2002. ARTEL is among the 10 newcomers - that means ARTEL has passed the turnover test, which requires a stock to have no more than 20 days without turnover in the past 12 months. According to the market size rule, companies rising to 160th or above in market rank will be included in the Hang Seng Composite Index. The other nine stocks to be added include Clear Media, Orient Overseas, Hung Hing Printing Group, Boto International Holdings, Beijing North Star, GeoMaxima (Hong Kong) Holdings, Euro-Asia Agricultural (Holdings), Kingmaker Footwear Holdings and Aluminum Corporation of China.
