![]() HANG FUNG GOLD TECHNOLOGY LIMITED "3D-Gold" Tourism Exhibition Hall Expansion Plan Calls for 100 Additional Staff Hong Kong, April 27, 2002 - "3D-Gold" Tourism Exhibition Hall ("Tourism Exhibition Hall"), a HK$200 million investment of Hang Fung Gold Technology Limited (the "Group") (SEHK: 870) in January 2001. The Group decided to expand the operations of the Tourism Exhibition Hall and organized an open staff recruitment day in this afternoon to fill 100 new positions including receptionists, sales executives, public relations and managerial professionals. Since January 2001, the Tourism Exhibition Hall becomes one of the most popular tourist spots in Hong Kong. The innovative and unique masterpieces at the Tourism Exhibition Hall attracted over 1 million visitors within 12-months after its grand opening. In addition to the Government's efforts in developing the tourism industry (i.e. streamlined the visa application procedures for Taiwanese and visitors from Mainland) and coupled with the construction plans of the magnetic express trains between Guangzhou and HKSAR, the Group is optimist toward the tourism industry and expected those plans and policies will bring tens of millions of additional visitors to the HKSAR. In order to keep up with the growth of the local tourism industry, the Group decided to expand the Tourism Exhibition Hall and acquired additional premises of 40,000 sq ft. Ms Kathy Ng, President of Hang Fung Gold Technology Group, noted: "The Tourist Exhibition Hall currently registers over 3,000 visitors per day which is topping its designed capacity. Subsequent to its expansion, we require additional staff to fill positions including tour guides, sales executives and officers, public relations executives and managers." Subjected to ranking and working experiences of individual candidates, the remuneration for the 100 posts ranged from HK$6,000 per month plus commissions and other benefits including annual leave, medical benefits and provident funds. "The Group has always been a major drive behind the development of the local tourism industry. The "3D-Gold" Tourism Exhibition Hall and it's gold, silver and jewellery collections have been well received by overseas and Mainland visitors. It is therefore the candidate should command both Putonghua and Cantonese, and third languages ability is a definite advantage. The Group always offers equal opportunities to applicants with different background and welcome new immigrants to join our team. Candidates with relevant experience will, of course, be given priority," continued Ms Ng. The Group was impressed by the warm response as well as the qualifications of the candidates received on the recruitment day. In keeping up with its expansion plans, the Tourism Exhibition Hall will continue to recruit additional staffs.
