Hong Kong, December 20, 2006 - MegaBox Development Co. Limited today celebrated a successful 2006 with the signing of many new tenants at the largest retail, entertainment and dining destination in East Kowloon, which is set to open in mid-2007.

The number of "firsts" and "foremosts" by MegaBox in Hong Kong include the Hong Kong's first International sized ice-rink (26 m x 57 m), largest all-season theme park (105,000 sq ft), and the UA MegaBox cinema, equipped with the latest in digital audio-visual and projection technologies.
MegaBox will also introduce many new-to-Hong-Kong name brands, including renowned home-improvement DIY product chains Spotlight (40,000 sq ft) from Australia and B&Q (120,000 sq ft) from the UK. They are joined by widely-recognized lifestyle brands Giormani, Simmons, OSIM and OTO, etc. to create the largest collection of home improvement stores in Hong Kong with the most innovative and fashionable ideas in home living.
What's more, the 1.1-million sq ft of space at MegaBox will appeal to retailers looking for the right venue to set up their flagship stores. These include BEST, which will open the largest electrical and electronics centre (40,000 sq ft) in Hong Kong, and Popular@MegaBox (20,000 sq ft), which will be the largest single-storey book city in Hong Kong, incorporating a spacious interactive corner for teenagers and children.
Adding to the popular appeal of MegaBox will be NOVO Concept (35,000 sq ft), a new store fusing fashion, art and technology. As part of an initiative to drive innovation in Hong Kong, MegaBox has joined hands with the Hong Kong Design Centre to host Hong Kong's first uniform design competition.
Dining will be a key element in the success of MegaBox. Approximately 280,000 sq ft of dining space will be allocated to more than 30 restaurants to serve tempting delicacies from all over the world. Two floors of space have been dedicated to "Chopsticks", an area for the enjoyment of Chinese cuisines.
