Hong Kong, April 28, 2004 - World's top-five display devices producer PROVIEW International Holdings Limited (SEHK: 334) recorded a total shipment of 2,035,000 monitors from January to March 2004, the third quarter of fiscal 2003/04, setting a new quarterly record for the Group with a26% year-on-year growth. During Q3 FY2003/04, the Group shipped 1,590,000 units of CRT and 445,000 LCD monitors worldwide, compared with 2.8 million CRT and 1 million LCD monitors in 1H FY2003/04.

Mr Rowell Yang Long-san, Chairman and Managing Director, PROVIEW International said: "We expect the growth momentum to continue well into the fourth quarter. Shipments to new ODM customers accounted for the highest volume growth in Q3. We also performed well in the LCD line with 20% volume growth year on year. In Q4, we expect to see some relief in the supply shortage of 17" LCD panels which will further unleash global sales of LCD display products. CRT tubes have also been under shortage and increased price pressure since April. But we have been able to pass on the cost increase to customers and have sufficient material stockpiles to provide for our anticipated growth in 2004."

PROVIEW shipped a total of 7.2 million monitors in calendar year 2003, positioning it as the world's 5th largest CRT and 7th largest LCD monitor producer. The rollout of MotorolaTM-brand consumer electronic products commenced in April 2004 with success with a first-year sales target of 1 million units. This novel series of flat-panel display products will be available in 32 major cities across China from mid-May. PROVIEW also plans to commence overseas sales of MotorolaTM display solutions in 2H of CY2004.

The Group recently announced a record first-half turnover and net profit of HK$4.3 billion and HK$110 million respectively for FY2003/04.
